Bryan Singer FIRED From Queen Biopic After Fights With Rami Malek! But Is He Really Claiming To Have PTSD??

When production was halted on the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, the line from 20th Century Fox was that it was over director Bryan Singer‘s “unexpected unavailability.”

Does that sound to anyone else like how a Bond villain describes a guy he just murdered?

Well, small wonder, because Fox has now informed The Hollywood Reporter that Singer has been straight FIRED! In a statement, they said simply Singer “is no longer the director of Bohemian Rhapsody.”

According to THR, there were growing tensions throughout the shoot; Singer was often late to set and combative with actors; one fight with Rami Malek, who is playing late singer Freddie Mercury, resulting in Singer throwing an object.

Though they had reportedly settled their differences, and filming was set to resume in London after the Thanksgiving break, Singer has apparently not shown up and is believed to still be in the U.S. That’s when Fox had no choice but to let him go.

One source tells THR Singer is claiming to be suffering PTSD from his time on set. Um… what??

Well, if this was his way of passive aggressively quitting, he got his wish. With two weeks of principal photography left, Fox is expected to name a replacement director right away.
